My Issue List
1) Trading Block/Shop Player Around-
2) Pitcher Endurance- The ability to increase a pitchers endurance (in the minors or otherwise). We should be able to try to groom a decent-stamina-rated reliever into a starter over time or in spring training if we want to take such risk. 3)AI Roster Changes- Autosims often see the AI changing roster setups when they are not asked or allowed to. 4) STARS- Many, not all, miss the star-ratings. I miss it too...you don't HAVE to use them and, in my opinion, I don't think its that unrealistic- I imagine a head scout might approach a GM and say: Murphy is a four-star player,...or something like that. 5) *Single-Game records *Rookie Records *Milestones *Projected Stats *Clear Rookie records option *Clear Career stats option 6) Ability to label a player as 'untouchable' or 'franchised' (not in the NFL sense). A season is frequetly interrupted by GM's inquiring about players who serve as the FOUNDATION of some teams- If we wanted to trade that guy we would approach YOU. 7) stupid AI trades- In my league alone, a division-leading Houston Astros traded Roger Clemens!!, a decent prospect, and 3 million dollars cash to Toronto for Catcher Jason Philips. Meanwhile Astro Catcher Brad Ausmus was having a great year. Thats just dumb. 8) Game speed.. Thanks

There is a "star rating" type number in the game. It's on the scouting reports section of the player profile (also shows in the transactions page, but only the rating and potential rating relative to the ML). Your scouts give an overall rating: Current rating relative to the Majors Current ratings relative to the league he's in Potential rating relative to the Majors These look a whole lot like stars, and function inside the scouting system (a sucky scout puts up different numbers than the star head scout)... the problem is you can't see them anywhere except in the transactions screen (only the two like I said) and in the player profile scouting reports. They're obviously useful for something, otherwise they wouldn't even exist... but something that's useful should be viewable... otherwise it's not very useful. |

Many of the items you have listed are the primary issues under attack on the next patch. Game speed and SP enduarnce, for example. Roster composition, too. The AI does not know names, so dealing a declining SP for a C may not have been a bad idea, especially if HOU has a surplus of SP and the current C is evaluated as playing over his head. Several items have been raised converning trading. I will not say more on that topic. Single game records are a fantastic feature; I want them back. However, the introduction of new features into the OOTP 2006 codebase must take a back seat right now to improved AI, memory management, game crashes, and bug elimination. The first couple of patch candidates? Several items show considerable promise, some don't. That's all I will say about that. Perhaps someone not under a NDA would comment further. |
