Names: Patch?

Can someone in the know tell me if the ability to edit the name and/or nations data after universe creation is going to be tackled in the (a) patch soon?

I have thought of a possible work around and don't want to waste time and energy on implementing it, if it's going to be fixed....

At this time, I would speculate that is a next version type of feature request.

I could be wrong.
