Game Crash when Importing Historical League
I'm running into a problem when creating a game, specifically Importing a Historical League. I have no problem selecting the Master.csv file or entering the settings. I then get a message and status bar telling me that it's Importing the Database. That reaches 100%, but then when it starts to Import Players, the game crashes.
I've tried this about 10 different times, with different Lahman databases too. The strange thing is that I was able to import a historical league last night without any problems, but I've been running into a brick wall tonight. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks. |

I've had that same problem when trying to import. I only get to 38% complete however.

Can you post the files you are trying to import here so I can attach them to a bug
What are you trying to import from Lahman |

Not sure it really matters actually, because I am unable to start ANY sort of league. Tried a few times starting a fictional league without changing any options and that crashed too.
Perhaps I somehow corrupted the game files? Again, I was originally able to create a couple of leagues two days ago. I'd like to try deleting and then re-installing the game, but am wondering: would this count as the 2nd of my two allowed computer installations, or would the installation program recognize this as an installation on the same computer? Thanks. |

I am having the EXACT same problems as posted above. Of course this thread was first posted on 6/1 and it is now 6/11 with no solution so I guess things don't look good for me. This game has no value if historical leagues can not be used.
I am running the most current patch. I do have my windows system completely updated. What am I missing? I am able to run quickstart leagues and I am able to convert old 6.51 leagues to OOTP2006 and run those. Last edited by Cowboys3356; 06-11-2006 at 06:50 PM. |

I apologize for the long delay in responding to this thread.
![]() I've seen Cowboy post after this, so I have some indication that at least this crashing isn't still a problem. Hipolito or Cowboy, are you still crashing under these circumstances? Hipolito, I would suggest you uninstall, and then reinstall a fresh copy downloaded from here: http://www.ootpbaseball2006.com/down...=download&id=1 Thanks very much, Steve |

I had this problem a few times and discovered a very simple solution.
My anti-virus program, Kapersky, scans each file as it is opened. It cannot keep up with the game while creating players and ends up crashing it. I just paused auto protection and things were fine. Not sure this is your problem or not but hopefully it'll help someone. Peace ![]() Jam |

We have a new rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.
This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this. If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!) Steve |
