Computer Doesn't Use It's Own Depth Charts
I've got starters on some teams with only one start after 10 games. No fatigue, no injuries, no reasonable explanations except that the computer decided to start the backup instead.

What do the lineups look like? If you put the 2nd stringers as the starters in the lineup, I don't think the computer ever rests them unless you have a 3rd stringer with a per-game or "when starter is tired" flag on it.
On a related note, one thing that I really do miss is the ability to have the computer generate a lineup based on the depth chart or vice versa. Can we get that added? |

These are computer controlled teams. The preferred lineup looks exactly like the depth chart, but not the players that really start the game. As a matter of fact, if you play out the game and go to the pregame screen, the right players will generally be in the lineup on the pregame screen, but when the game starts someone else will be in there.
That at least means the fix should be easy, but this one really bothers me for some reason. It's usually only one or two positions that are affected. Example: The starting center fielder for 1871 Troy on the depth chart is John McMullen. The 4th outfielder on the team is Tom York. McMullen has 6 ABs after 10 games, York has 3. A fictional player who is barely good enough to be on the roster, Norbert Norling, has about 30. He has never been the starter on the pregame screen, but he's generally on the field when the game starts. There hve been no injuries at the position. Almost every team has one of these guys. The stars get their starts, but after that it's pot luck.

I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread.
![]() Obviously, some time has passed since you posted this issue, and the 1.0.2 patch has since been released as well. Are you still seeing this issue? Please let me know! Thanks, Steve |

We have a rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.
This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this. If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!) Steve |
