League Creation Crash

This is beginning to become laughably ridiculous.

After not experiencing any crashes of any kind, I am now no longer able to play OOTP 2006. Literally.

First, the game I had played all season long developed some sort of problem in the playoffs that causes the game to crash when trying to access the "Scores & Schedule" screen, which is a big one, since you can't play a game without accessing that screen.

Then, i decide to create a small 16-team league. That works fine, and I set it to sim a few years. however, when I decided to stop the sim early...Crash.

Now, I decided to just use default settings, creating a universe with all available leagues at startup. Then, I spent over an hour changing the team nicknames to reflect real life, and hit "Create Game". I made it to 1/2/2006.

Crash.

I've played OOTP for over ten hours in the last two days, and haven't been able to play a **** game.

I need the patch, and I need it now. Beacuse for ME, OOTP is literally unplayable.

I'm sorry to hear about this.

As I posted in the other thread, I'd appreciate it if you could sit tight until the patch comes out, and let's see what happens then.

Please backup all of your saved games before patching!

You think the crashes aren't imbedded, and post-patch they'll be back as if nothing ever happened? I hope so. I was attached to my Canadian League.

Well, I'm not quite certain yet, but with the new patch out today, that has to be the first thing we try.

Can you play other games without the crashes? Do you have a backup of your league from before the crashes?

This would be great if I could install the new patch. I think I may have found the problem I was having. For some reason, my game thinks it's 1.0.0 again!!!! Sure, when I load it up it SAYS 1.0.1, but when I tried to install the patch I got a version error.

Reinstalling game, since I can't think of a way around it, and I KNOW I had patched the first time.

Reinstalling is definitely the way to go here. Please let us know what happens!
