Sub without a game played

Small problem. The game pinch hit for my catcher in the top of the 9th inning, but according to all stats no one came in to catch in the bottom of the 9th... they apparently used one of those spring nets to get the ball back to the pitcher (at least that's what our Bench coach told reporters after the game).

I'd get a screen shot but still haven't figured out how to post one one here.
The box score just shows that someone pinch hit for the catcher in the top of the 9th. No reference to anyone taking over the position.
I checked all the fielding stats for every player on the roster, no one has a game at catcher without a start at catcher.

I checked his fielding stats. While the back up (the guy pinch hit for but nor replacement sent in) has been in he has recorded 11 put outs. This game in question had 2 strike outs in the bottom of the 9th (after he was gone), without those 2 strike outs he should only have 9 put outs. He wasn't involved in any plays at the plate, or pop outs during his 2 games... they would all have had to come from strike outs.

Stupid question: Was there even a bottom of the 9th inning? Was your team ahead at the end of the frame?

Hehe... yes... yes there was. My closer pulled off a splendid 2 strike out 1 comebacker ground out to finish them off and give me a 6-5 win.

I've seen this happen a couple times in the games I've played out. This is what happens:

Your catcher stayed in the game on defense, and your pinch hitter stayed in the lineup on offense.

It also happens on injuries. My player got injured on a HBP and was subbed for by a pinch runner. when the inning was over, my injured player came back out to play defense. The pinch runner stayed in the lineup and batted when his turn came around.

Better late than never, I suppose. I logged this as TT # 2268.

Thanks!
