TOTALLY messed up player history!

Not sure even where to begin here, though I wish I'd caught this earlier. This is all in the Mac version of 1.0.2. See the zipped player report below (edit: way below... it's in post #5 now). Compare it to the CW.jpg screen. I don't know if this is showing several bugs or if it all has one source.

1. The player was born in 2002, so their career certainly did not start in 2005. (As is also evidenced by the screenshot.)

2. Worst case of player signing/releasing ever, perhaps?

3. Player seems to have been converted from pitcher to shortstop, but then again maybe not? (compare to screenshot). Also, there are no pitching stats in the roster's pitching stats tab.

4. What's up with all those repeated spurious pitching scouting reports?

5. According to the screenshot, the player was never a member of the Morgan Hill Toros. ("COR" is the Orchardists' affiliate.)

6. And finally, for good measure... HOW did "Cymbeline" end up in the default names file???

Edited to add: I just realized one more thing.

7. How did this player get a contract for money? I'm playing with financials off and all the other players I've looked at say "Minor League Contract" (even the ones in the ML) and have nothing listed for the amount.

I was unable to look at the player report. Its in webarchive format. Not sure what to do with that. Sorry

Er, hmm. This "webarchive" format is the only thing Safari will save it in. Grrrr... and a pdf is to big to fit through the piddly upload hole on this board, even when zipped... well...

I'll see if I can find another format to put it in.

Well, I can't print or export it from anywhere in OOTP, either. Well, I guess I'll have to take a screen of each page of the PDF version, compress each screen, and upload those. I shall return.

This is probably the worst I've seen. Hopefully, the powers that be are working on this issue that was noted when they first showed us the html reports pre-release.

Not sure where to start on this, but my first thoughts are as follows:

1. Have you ever deleted any players in this league? I believe there is a known issue where the game was reusing IDs and causing a merged history sort of thing.

2. What is the basis of this league? Standard? Historical? Imported?

3. Was this game started in 1.0.2?

4. Cymbeline is a valid first name, albeit with the minimum frequency.

Fictional. 16 team major league. 16 team AAA, all affiliated. Financials off. 25-man roster without expansion. AI trades set to low. Reliever and closer usage set to normal. Those are the only changes to the settings I made that I can think of offhand.

Sure thing! As planning would have it, so to speak, I backed up everything after I found this bug, so I can send you the files as they then stood. I've simmed about five years since then in the copy I'm now using.

OK, I found the problem... this was originally a hidden player that never got discovered. So actually, there were two bugs. a) hidden players will no longer bescouted by SISA and b) if hidden players retire without being discovered, their history will be deleted now.

Well, this issue has been claimed fixed in the next patch. Not sure what it was, exactly, or how we can test it, but there you are!

I'd also assume it's not going to reverse fix the issue that you experienced...

No, like I said, I can't see any way that this fix will be able to "repair" your one guy...

Sorry if this is a dup, but a search didn't result in anything meaningful and I can't seem to find anything on this by browsing.

I have a player that was drafted in the 1989 entry draft, but his history shows scouting updates from 1981.

Merged some related threads. Still claimed fixed in next patch, although unfortunately, it won't repair that player's history.
