Players Disappearing
I've been attempting to create a roster set, but have run into major issues. I am fully updated (although this was an issue before the patch as well). When I utilize the plyer movement option in the player editor, I can move the player to their correct team and level. But when I go to that team, he is nowhere to be seen. When searching the player, he is still there and his team and level are correct, but he does not show up as a player anywhere until I use the same movement option to move him to FA for his current league. Has this issue been found and is it possible that this can be looked at for the next patch? Thanks.

I may have figured it out. This seems to happen when I set all I teams to NOT make any moves. When I switched it back and moved the players to FA and then back to the team, they reappear. This was not occuring before.

Could this be changed to moving a player to a MLB team's (or foreign team's) DFA instead of to a roster? It seems like the AI can't give the player a place because they aren't able to make moves, so it leaves the player in no-man's land.

GoldenGlove,
I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread. ![]() Obviously, some time has passed since you posted this issue, and the 1.0.2 patch has since been released as well. Are you still seeing this issue? Please let me know! Thanks, Steve |

I have experienced this same issue post-the most recent patch. I get around it by going to player search and going into the player's profile and setting them on my active roster that way. Then they appear on my active roster. But, if you look in my most recent post about Hayden Penn, you will see that the player still remains where he was originally (i.e. there is still a copy of him as a FA so he can be signed by another team and then you have 2 of the same player)

You can replicate it easily I think. Just go into a league in your game, go to a free agent and edit him to be on your team. Then go to your team and he won't be there yet if you look in the player search, next to his name is says his league, team, level, etc. and then you have to set him on your active roster through his player profile.

I've noticed that since I started playing. Whenever i sign a free agent or aquire a guy via trade, i have to right click on his name and go to transaction and place him somewhere for him to show up.

That's where newly acquired players go by default. |

I believe this has been addressed by now allowing you to access the DFA area through the drop-downs in the Transactions screen, even if your league does not have the Waiver rule enabled. I'll let you know if I figure out more. Does this make sense of anything you are seeing? |

This seems to happen when trying to move a player to a roster-size limited team such as MLB. This also happens when waivers are disabled. In this case, players disappear when they move to any team. Again, it seems to come back to normal when you allow AI teams to make moves, but this is really hampering roster creation and because I have not yet tested online leagues, I'm not sure the effect of this.
