Are any other owners having trouble? The message makes it sound to me that the file actually is corrupt.

! C:\Documents and Settings\Scott\Desktop\major_league_dreams_2006.lg .tar.gz: CRC failed in C:\Documents and Settings\Scott\Desktop\major_league_dreams_2006.lg .tar.gz. The file is corrupt and remember, loading the file in game never works

C:\Documents and Settings\Scott\Desktop\major_league_dreams_2006.lg .tar.gz
This may be way off, but does that space after the .lg and before .tar appear in the actual league file you're downloading? I'm not used to seeing that format. It just doesn't look like a proper filename. Maybe?

When I have issues d/l and extracting, the whole folder that I downloaded doesn't have the same # of files in it. It is always the correct size compared to files that other people have and that are working. But when I open it up to unzip it, files are missing.

You downloaded file is definitely damaged.
This could be caused by a bad internet connection, or a problem with your hardware. A friend of mine worked several months with a computer which frequently had problems when writing and reading data to or from his harddisk. Obviously the harddisk was damaged, so we changed it, but the problem still existed. Finally he used a hardware testing program and found that a damaged RAM modul was the problem... BTT ![]() |
