3151 - illegal number of players (0)

I started a new league with the MLB2007 set of leagues from from ))TP mod squad, and strted as the red sox, I only got from 1-1-07 to 1-19-07 and got the following message, "edinburg has an illegal number of players on the active roster (0)" I cannot finish the day. I even tried making myself the manager of Edinburg in the texas winter league and still with a complte 25 man roster I can't move forward a day. Please help!

If it was the FictionalMLB quickstart DL version 2. I had to fix it this afternoon. See here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=142531. Post 12 explains how you can try to fix your roster but I would just DL the new version.

Yup I have a 25 man roster filled and still get the error message.

I have gotten the same error. Here is some more detail from another post I made before I saw this thread:

There is a strange anomaly whereby if I look at the transactions page for a team, the roster is full. But then if you go to the league schedule and try to quick-play the game, it gives the error message. If you click the team link from the schedule page and go to the team's home page, and click the roster, then suddenly it is empty. Going to the transactions page via this route shows that all the players are on the DFA list. VERY bizarre.

Just found this. A team that does not exist in my universe apparently has no players on the roster so I can't sim forward. I have gone through and checked every team in the universe, they all have players so I have no clue what is happening. Here are screen shots of the error and the resultant search showing there i sno Fridley College.

What league feeds this league?

Do you have any roster limits?

How many rounds does this league have in it's draft?

Any other info on items related to how this league get's it's players would be helpful.

Well, I don't know what to tell you there because since the team doesn't exist I don't know what league it is part of. It is a universe with a 12 team major league with AAA, AA, A, Rookie ball, High School, and College Leagues associated with it.

Far be it from me to presume I know anything. Just trying to help. But in the far upper left corner, have you conducted this search under each of the league selections available? Or simply changed the league selection and reviewed the Team Dropdown in each instance?

I know of a work around, in the options area make sure that allow ghost minor league players is checked.

i am having the same issue with my online league. The Sydney team "loses" all its minor league players if I set roster management control to Computer AI. Something odd happened at the end of Spring Training when the roster limit changed, which I think was the cause of this particular problem. Now, any time I switch Sydney to Computer AI and sim a day, their minor league roster is emptied and there is odd output in the Team Transactions report.

I can supply someone with a League File if they want to take a look at this.

Edit: Imnotjesus, there was a bug that caused this when Roster Moves were set to AI control and Minor League Management was set to human control, but Minor League Management seems to be set to AI control once you set Roster Moves to AI control now (and leave the screen to make the option stick).

What are your Team Control Settings when the issue happens?

if i put the AI in control of roster moves or hit the "Allow AI to set up organization" button, then my minor league roster is cleared. The only way to stop this from happening now is to set all manager settings to human and never touch any of the AI controls for roster management for that team.

Hrm. No, that's something new. I haven't been seeing that in my games. We need to figure out is different about yours. How many minor leagues do you have and at what level? Do they have any roster limits? Do you have ghost players on?

Well, with Fridley College it is obviously in your College Feeder league. I had a problem like that and all I had to do was delete the league and recreate it. If you delete a team in a feeder league in League Structure, you will run into this problem.

i get the same problem but with a non-existant team, they might have been in a fictional league i have deleted already.
