player development

Is it me or does player development take a long time? I have guys in there late 20's still not at there peaks.

P.S. I do have player development checked in setup

Player development is somewhat random. Like in real life, some players just never meet their potential or really do much. You see this all of the time. First round draft picks who pretty much just never become much of anything or even make it to the Majors (happens more often then not).

So, like real life, there are just some players who just never really develop like they're supposed to in the game.

If none of your players are developing from year to year at all, then it could be a problem.

Also, make sure you have someone scouting your own organization if you have scouts on. You might see more changes that way.
