Weather at ballpark doesn't get updated in historic simulations
In the historical simulations, OOTP 2007 updates the ballpark when a team moves from one city to another. However, it doesn't update the weather associated with the ballpark.
For example - start a league in 1971. Simulate it to 1972. You'll see that the Washington Senators moved to Texas and they now play in Arlington Stadium. However, the weather for the ballpark is still set to Washington DC. It's just a nit since the temperature doesn't change that much, but it might be worth something to note. |

Hmm.. it may not be a bug. I noticed that the location of the Texas Rangers is 'Texas', not 'Arlington, Texas'. It's possible that the game didn't know what weather to apply to Arlington Stadium.
I did another experiment tracking the Giants move from New York to San Francisco between 1957 and 1958. The new city and stadium name is correct but the weather for the stadium was still New York. I clicked on the 're-import weather database' button and Seals Stadium was updated with the new San Fransicso weather. A very balmy 63 degrees in June. I think the game needs to automatically run 're-import weather database' after a team moves. Unfortunately, this doesn't help teams like the Texas Rangers or California Angels where the city isn't specified in the Lahman database. Last edited by Eric; 03-25-2007 at 10:05 PM. when you import a db, the game will not know what do with a team who does not have a city in the existing database. thats why california doesnt get anything in the city search/exist city search fields. you have to manually edit the city names to whatever is appropriate. especially true of foreign leagues like japan where teams carry corporate, not city names. if you choose the standard ***/japan setup, you have to change nearly every team yourself once the league is loaded. once you do that, re-import the weather.
but this may be a good reason to at least add a global function in the league functions to re-import weather db for all cities. this way, if the team has new city itll automatically get the ratings, and if the city hasnt changed, well, neither will the weather.

I understand that teams without a city name won't get the weather correct but the move from New York to San Francisco should but it doesn't.

After a week of no replies from the original poster, we generally assume that the problem is no longer present and close the threads. If this isn't the case and you'd like me to re-open the thread, feel free to PM me with a link to the thread.
Thanks!
