expansion problem
started with 2 leagues of 6 teams each, then added 2 teams in each league. THE PROBLEM: the team I used to own had ALL of its minor league players disappear and I can't add them back, not even with the Add Players options.
Also, there is a check box for the AI not interfering with the rosters for the major league tream and I unchecked when I epxanded. Then ALL of the boxes in the minor leagues disappeared. s'up with that? |

At what specific point did the players disappear? Did you have an expansion draft? Is it possible that you just have a custom filter applied? Try clearing the filter. (We see this happen a lot when people report players 'disappearing'.) |

expqansion problem
The problem began AFTER I resigned from the team and then took another team. Also, there are no custom filters at all.
the rundown... 1. create 2 leagues, 6 teams each. 2. take Portland as my team. 3. sim 2 years. 4. resign from Portland 5. expanded 2 more teams in each league. 6. take Riverside as my team 7. Commish mode if I didn't already say that 8. couldn't find any way to have an expansion draft in a non-historical league, but that has nothing to do with Portland's ENTIRE minor league disappearing. 9. also, there was no check box to keep the AI from interfering with those minor league teams. hope this helps...BECAUSE I'm dead in the water. I can't continue because Portland's AAA team is triggering an error message about not having enough players on the roster. I can't even fill them with the "fill" button. |

OK, ballman, we need to look at this a little more closely. Can you please zip up your .dat files and FTP them to us? We just need the .dats.
Here are the instructions to do so: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=142100 |

What is the file name - they might need that depending on how many files are on the server.

A different expansion problem
I did a Lahman import for 2006 season with new season to begin in 2007.
Went through the setup for expansion process. Problem is that now each team has two Active 25 man rosters which show only on the Transactions tab. One of which actually has, and shows to have 25/25 players. The other shows 25/25 players, but in actuality has less than 25 with the number varying by team. To make matters worse, each team has 3 levels of minors with a few players (ghost players "on") but none of these players on the second "Active 25" are assigned to a minor league team either. The only mistake that I know of on my part was failing to activate the 40 man roster option before importing or going through the Expansion setup. This is strictly a test league and it's not about to kill me, but if you want to see the file, let me know. It's definitely messed up. Edit: Just for grins, I went in and had the AI "Set up comlete Organization", which it did, and in doing so, the "extra" Active 25 man, dissapeared. After a week of no replies from the original poster, we generally assume that the problem is no longer present and close the threads. If this isn't the case and you'd like me to re-open the thread, feel free to PM me with a link to the thread.
Thanks!
