POSSIBLE BUG: Duplicate players showing up in First-Year Player Draft

I'm seeing 2 of every player that was imported from the Lahman's Database.

The year is 1992, the season is finished, and I took over the expansion Florida Marlins. Ran through the expansion draft, and finally I'm at the First-Year Player Draft and I noticed that there are 2 Steve Karsay, 2 Manny Ramirez, 2 of basically every player from that draft.

One thing that might be be possible is, I did change the date of the draft to December 31st, 1992, because I was told that if you do that, the players won't debut earlier than they should.

Is it possible that changing the draft date could cause duplicate players to show up?

Yep, I'm 99.9% sure that that's the cause.

When did you change the draft date? More then likely this is what caused the issue.

I can't quite remember, but its very possible that I changed it right after they did the first initial preview of the draft pool. So my assumption is that the draft pool was generated, then I changed the date, thereby creating a second duplicate group of the same imported draftees.

Yep. I've done the same thing by accident. If you change this date before the draft pool is generated, you should be OK. And you're correct about moving the draft date back. I would suggest trying something like Nov. 1. I'm not sure if your Dec. 31 date is too late because of all the other things that occur in the post-season.

This appears to be resolved. I'm going to close it.
