Historical Replay Draft Question

I'm relativlely new to this game, but have researched the hell out of it.

I'm really big into replaying historical leagues and just started my first one in 1982.

I've answered about 99% of my questions by searching around this site, but I have a couple I couldn't find an answer to.

So I have started my league in 1982, I changed the amateur draft date to November 1st 1982. I also noticied it is set for 5 rounds.

My question is this, how many rounds should I have it set for each year?

Does the game automatically set it up for the amount of players that are eligible for the draft?

If it is too many rounds will they use fake players?

If it is not enough rounds, what happens to the undrafted players do they go into a free agent pool, or are they assigned to the teams that drafted them in real life?

Thanks in advance for any answers to these questions and thanks for the ton of info already here at this site.....

Sorry, I guess my questions must be rather confusing, they look that way to me also, lol...

I guess a more simple way to ask it would be...

How exactly does the amatuer draft work year to year during historical replays?

and

How should I have it set up?

thanks again in advance for any help....

I alwys set the draft to 10 rounds for historicals. The draft will never go that many rounds anyway. And no, the game will not fill out the rest of the rounds with fictional players. And yes, if you don't use enough rounds the undrafted players will become free agents.

Help Needed with Amateur Draft

My historical game started in 1980 with the Amateur Draft set for June 15. I did not receive a notice regarding the upcoming draft and I did not select any players. However, after June 15 I looked into my team's draft history and they did draft players in the Amateur Draft. What else seems odd is that these players all appear fictional.

Being that I am still in the summer of my first season can I hold another draft later in this first year and (with some guidance from the forum) change the settings so that real players are available to be drafted AND make sure that I have a chance to scout the draft and participate in it this time? I know it is a lot to ask but hopefully someone can help.

Thanks...
