License failure--Patch failure

Just bought the game and downloaded it and the latest patch. When I go to "install license," I persistently get the following:

Unable to get or install license

Retrieval of license failed with error code =-10.

A connection to the license servers could not be established.

Please make sure that you are currently connected to the internet.

If you have verified that your connection is active, please wait a few minutes and then try to get your license again.

I thought that the patch might help. However, when I try to install the patch, I get this:

A sharing violation occurred while accessing c:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\OOTP2007.exe

My OS is XP SP2, and my browser is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5) Gecko/20070713 Firefox/2.0.0.5.

This is very disappointing, as I am anxious to play the game. Please help.

If this is for a PC, please contact e-License to verify that your license it (VT-something) is valid.

You can reach them at support@elicense.com.

If this is a Mac, please let us know, and we have some more ideas.
