Two OOTP8 Mac problems, one solution
I moved my OOTP 2007 saved game file over into the saved games directory in OOTP8. I started managing the next game in the season. Once I got into the game, I noticed that in broadcast view, the background that shows the baseball diamond was missing. Instead of the baseball diamond, I just got a gray background. The players' names and pictures were overlaid like they normally are, but it was difficult to tell who was where because the diamond wasn't showing up. The webcast view looked normal. I did a little poking around and found that the "ballparks" folder in the "data" folder was empty. I was able to copy the default_grass.jpg file into the "ballparks" folder to fix the problem. In case it makes a difference, I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.1.
The second problem I have yet to be able to reproduce. When I was managing a game, I was only able to use the mouse. Hitting 1 to have the pitcher pitch did nothing. Well, that's not true. It seemed that when I used the keyboard, it affected the Finder as opposed to OOTP. I simmed the remainder of the game and then went into the Manager settings. I tried to change my name to something else and noticed that the keyboard didn't work in there either. Any key presses would affect the Finder rather than OOTP.

Thanks for pointing out the ballparks issue. I know that at least one other person was having similar problems.
So, you haven't had trouble with your keyboard when playing out a game again? Only that once? |

No, it doesn't seem to have happened again. Although admittedly, I have not tried playing very much. I've loaded OOTP about five times so far and it only seemed to happen once.

Absent a way to reproduce this one-time issue, there's really no way to determine what caused it. If you see it again or have more information regarding what triggered it, please post it and a link to this thread. For now, however, I'm going to close this out.
