Crash when clicking on player link in BBN page

Here are the symptoms:

-Running Vista..as admin
-imported OOTP 8 league
-whenever I try to click on a player link on the top prospects page, or the team home page....the game craches before loading the HTMl page.

Any ideas?

Of course I can access the player page via the roster pages, just not the BBN pages...

Also the game just crashed when I tried to run an almnac...at about 46%

Thanks for any help with this.

Can you please try creating a new test league in OOTP 9 to see if the same sorts of errors occur? Was this game converted using a game created with the MLB Quickstart from OOTP 8?

Hi

It seems this is only happening in the imported league. This was created using the "Import OOTP 2007/ 9 Game from the Main screen.

Thanks!

I am also noticing that the BBM pages are listing players i the wrong minor league level..

For example David Price is has been at Durham AAA all season, yet the top prospects show him at A..

Just thought some more info would be helpful

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that the issue with BBn is that the Player HTML page does not exist in many cases..

Does this make any sense?

If the player exists in game, then a corresponding Player HTML page ought to exist.

Before you converted this league, was it created with the OOTP 8 MLB Quickstart? Did the league have these sorts of problems before you converted it?

Yes I did use a quickstart, and have had no problems with it.

I assume there is some problem with the Pics.....

You used the OOTP 8 Quickstart that came packaged with the game? That had repeated crashing errors when viewing HTML reports. You can load up the pre-converted game in OOTP 8, view these HTML pages, and get no crash?

Can you get to the non-HTML version of the Player Profile screen without a crash?

Have you tried disabling FaceGen in the Game Preferences options in the main OOTP screen that opens up, closing and reopening OOTP, then loading your league to see if you still have problems?
