Text engine and backgrounds fail to load

Upon starting the game (PC version), I get the following messages:

1.) Cannot find folder /facegen/little_endian!

2.) TEXT_ENGINE::my_load_text_file() - Folder doesn't exist

In game, I get error messages for play by play as well as for messages. I assume this is the text load error. Additionally there are no backgrounds shown on any page, i.e. the backgrounds are white.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can you try updating your video card drivers, then loading up OOTP 9 again?

I'm efforting on this now. I just noticed that ATI posted a new set of drivers dated the 18th of this month. I'll update and post the results shortly.

After installing the new drivers from ATI and completely reinstalling OOTP 9 the game is now working properly. If it helps, I am running an ATI Radeon X850 Platinum edition; I don't believe it's on the list yet.
