Complete noob to historical sims

Yea so i'm a noob and I want to run a historical sim starting in 1901. Step by step what do I need to do. I'm running with the latest version of OOTP9. How do I make it so that I get not only the MLB starting in 1901, but the minors also. It's my understanding that as the years go by expansion will happen by itself. So any help will be appreciated.

I don't have OOTP in front of my so I can't give you terribly good directions, but I just wanted to point out that minor leagues are something that you will have to create yourself as the minor leagues as we currently know them did not exist in the same form for most of the last century.
