BZ 3110: Star Ratings Too High for Poor Players

Quick bug I am seeing -

I changed my settings to display 1-100 ratings and left it as a 5-star rating system, and now there are players that show up as 5 star overall and 5 star potential who are terrible players. When I click on the player and go to "Scouting Reports", the correct star rating is seen (usually .5 of a star). Not sure why this is happening. Let me know how I can be of help in solving this problem.

Try running a league-wide rescout "under game setup, league setup, functions) and see if it helps. If not, sounds like a bug.

Yep. I am seeing this as well (discrepency between OVR/POT reported in player profile and scouting report). Some players are just out of place among players with comparable POT. This seems to be pretty random though as to on which players would this happen.

And, no, rescout did not help at all. The exact same value remains.

I am seeing this as well, however as far as I can tell it seems to be mostly restricted to pitchers. The ratings for position players seem to be about normal.

My guess from looking at some of the players with wierd ratings is that there is a bug in the calculation routine. It seems that many of these players have a couple of high personality stats. I'm guessing that these secondary stats are currently figured too prominently in the calculations of the potential and overall rating.

At least in my case this is with scouts on.

I am playing an imported league from OOTP9, scouting accuracy set to high and both my scouting budget and the scout are amongst the best in the league.

I'll try to check later today whether this is affected by turning scouts off.

I've noticed something that might be related... when I ask my scout for a scouting report on a pitcher he always comes back and gives them a '1' in movement and says colorfully that they 'throw the ball very straight'. I think this is a problem because I doubt 3 prichers that have 3 star ratings all are a 1 in movement. Also this is an imported OOTP 9 league and the pitchers had 5 and 6 ratings for movement before in v9 with the same scout.

Also, N. Ruiz in AAA has the movement 1 rating issue as well. Also rated a 78 with poor potential ratings.

My league was an OOTP9 import as well.

I'm getting differences in ratings on different screens but I have NOT imported from 9 but created the game anew in 10. And, I've seen problems with both pitchers AND batters too.
