2001 Minor Leagues

I am going to be starting a historical replay beginning in 2001 with the Yanks. I want to see if I can boost their title total from the paltry 26.

I want to emulate the league for the most part, but I can't do that withotu minors. I can't seem to find it online. Does anyone know the minor leagues in existence at this time, the teams that were in each league and each team's affiliation? It would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'll be looking for any changes in affiliation, team names, etc. past the 2001 season.

There's also this site:

Mike McCann's page of Minor League Baseball History.

You still have to sort through things on a league-by-league basis however.

Cool, there's not an easier way to get correct minors though is there?

If you look at that baseball reference page they have a chart for each season listed all the MLB teams and minors at each level, here is it for 2001:

The easiest way might be to pick up a relevant reference book — the Baseball America 2002 Almanac, for example, has complete coverage of the 2001 baseball season, including the minor leagues. That'd give you the standings for each minor league, and thus the league structure.

I probably have the data onhand somewhere, but at the moment I don't have the time to dig it up and get it formatted for posting. Perhaps in a few days, time permitting.

I mean, like in the game. SO I don't have to go through everything editing every team name, affiliation, possibly stadium, etc.

Unless someone has a template, then I don't think so.
You could just add the current minors then edit the from there, making it a little easier. It would be easier than from scratch anyways.

I've been looking into that but can't seem to figure out how.

I once tried to make a 1950 historical with correct minors. Got down to C leagues before giving up. 2001 would be easy IMO.
