Aging Question

How do aging settings work in Titlebout?..........for example Billy Conn went to post prime after only one fight..........how is that? I had setting to automatic aging depending on number of fights. Thanks.

In the options settings you can select a range of fights each fighter spends at a particular aging stage. The only way that should happen is if you have advance to pre-prime set at 1 - xx fights.

I would give that a look first as I have enver encountered bugs in this area.

I've seen this before, I think it happens when you start the auto-aging and the fighters are at prime but I honestly can't remember exactly.

If starting at prime you should hit calculate next aging for all fighters in the aging options screen after selecting the number of fights and that should take care of any anomalies. I would set Conn back to prime and then follow this step and all should be well going forward.

Ok I reset the base of fighters all to beginning and Ezzard Charles has fought 13 fights already so i fought him again this morning and he now has 14 fights and is still listed as a beginner.............why?........my settings are

5-7 Pre Prime
10-18 Prime
10-30 Post Prime
10-20 End
10-20 Retired

I thought Charles would have changed to Prime after this fight because it was his 14th fight which clearly puts him in the prime area

Because you reset the settings after he had already fought so it resets. The rest of your guys will follow your parameters, Ezzard will just have a few more fights.

So I will need to set everyone back to zero on stats and record then go to beginning for everyone for aging process?......I was thinking that it would see that Charles had fought 13 fights and adjust up after I had set the aging to begin. Yes, I had already fought those 13 fights under prime then i set back to beginning with an aging process.

No, the aging process will work as is, it just wont take into account the fights you fought before you started it.

Yeah. I was always a little confused by the aging process. I just leave it alone once it's set.
