Cleveland Indians 1949 and beyond
So i've wanted to start a Cleveland dynasty for a while now, but i was debating what year to start in. I could of started in 1961 or the 70s, but i decided to start in 1949 for many reasons, including the fact that the Indians of the late 40s-50s are some of my favorite teams, despite the fact that they were WAY before my time. I will not be following real transactions, although i will import rookies to their original team until 1965, when the real first year player draft was held. I will also follow real rule changes.
Wish me luck!

Game 1: Cleveland 9, New York 3
Game 2: New York 2, Cleveland 0 Game 3: Cleveland 1, New York 0 Game 4: Cleveland 13, New York 0 Game 5: Cleveland 1, New York 0 Cleveland wins the World Series 4-1 over New York It was pitching that got us to the Series, and sure enough, It was pitching that won it too. Bob Lemon (18-7, 2.90 ERA) pitched a 1 hit shutout in Game 3 that swung the momentum in our favor. Then Mike Garcia (21-14, 3.07 ERA) pitched a 4 hit shutout in Game 4, then Early Wynn (12-7, 2.92 ERA) did the same with an 8 hit shutout to seal the deal. However, looking to next season, not all is well. Bob Feller is out for 10 Months, Bob Kennedy is out for 8 Months. But if we can play like that through next season, we should be looking for a three peat. Up next, AL Award winners
