Resetting View is Maddening
I've read about this a few times in the past, but I've been playing OOTP much more lately, and this little bug is really starting to drive me crazy. Does anyone else experience the problem where the game automatically reverts to a previous view? For example, you're looking at your roster, and you had it set to "Batting Ratings" but it keeps reverting to "Stats" or another view after you revisit the screen? I'm also getting sick of buttons disappearing, most notably the "Position:" button, because I often filter pitchers and hitters...I haven't reported these recently because I recall someone saying that Markus was unable to reproduce the bug, which seems impossible to me. Does anyone have any work-arounds or suggestions?

The buttons disappearing has been around forever, but they ARE less frequent and at least they don't result in crashes anymore like OOTP8/9.
And yes, I'll be making changes on my Transaction pages and suddenly I'll be sent back to my home page. As far as help? Nope ![]() |

When the button disappears, find a player that's likely got some news items in his history, i.e. one of your better players. Click on the player, click on the history tab, and click on the tab News involving player. Then go back. So far it's worked everytime. I know that sounds like a lot to do, but for me it happens in game most of the time, and you're so limited on what you can do in game I was glad I found this. It's incredibly frustrating when you need to put in a defensive sub and the only players listed are pitchers. Now, when I click on player's News involving player, so far EVERYTIME when I came back the button has re-appeared. And reference a comment above about Markus not being able to replicate this bug. I don't believe that for a second. That thing disappears so often I can't envision anyone playing it for more than a minutes not having it happen. Sounds to me like instead of being unable to replicate it, he's unable to fix it. I just don't buy that at all.

I actually had a bug similar to this, but the PLAYERS disappeared, not the buttons. Viewed some history during the middle of the game. Came back and ALL of my players were gone except for the ones on the field. Thank God it was near the end of the game, but if an injury hit, the game probably would have crashed because I had no one to replace.
Then about a week later, I did something similar....and EVERYONE IN MY ORGANIZATION was now on my bench. I had 47 available PH's and 24 RP's. |

OFG, thanks for the advice, I'll give it a shot. And as for Markus and the bug, maybe I'm only hoping he can't replicate it, I really hope it is fixable!

Also, when viewing my lineups, sometimes it displays my whole team instead of just my hitters. Same with say, waivers, I want to see ALL players and many times, it will be on batters or pitchers even though when I left the screen I had it on ALL. |

What I find annoying, and I haven't found a workaround for, is this:
In a game, I like to have current season stats. If, between games, I happen to look at anything in the system that relates career stats (milestones, season/career records, et cetera) - the next game I go into has career stats rather than season selceted. That wouldn't be too bad, but I can't seem to filter back to current season stats. I have to actually exit the game and re-open to get my current season stats back in-game.
