AI having an injured player start and PHing right away?

This would clearly seem to be a bug, I just wondered if anyone else had seen it.

The AI's lead off hitter was injured the previous day, and out for 6 days (out, as opposed to Day to Day), but the next game, which was against my team, he was listed in the lineup then immediately pinch hit for:
