HFP Updates: Better Colored Facegen Images

Though technically there is no H.F.P. (Historical Facegen Project) any longer we are still up for having people update the images. One of the complaints were have seen is that many of the earlier images' color are off. This is because we used black and white photos and in many cases the colorization for the facegen process could have been improved.

So I decided to open up this thread for everybody to contribute some fixed up colorizations (not necessarily new facegens).

Luckily it only takes a few seconds to fix up the color so updating these is pretty quick if anybody else wants to help out. I will only be doing this as I come across them so this will not be a work in progress on my part of HFP.

To start here are 45 players from the 1940s including Ted Williams, Duke Snider, Phil Rizzuto (did a new facegen) and many others with improved colorization.

Gambo, would it be possible to give me a crash course in fixing the player colorization? I would love to help out, but I have no clue what I'm doing.

Here's what I do for some, although not all..different people may try to do different things.

1. When i find a player whose skin is too dark from a B&W photo. the 1st thing I do is see what it looks like when i set all to 0. See Example of Charlie Comiskey.

2. but Skin tint, Nose, Cheeks are the 3 I try to tweak. Just move them to more flushed til you get a non dead look.

3. As i said in #2 I try set all to 0 1st 95% of the time that works best.

Really, that's interesting...

I see what I can do with the three Skin Tint sliders and the skin tone light/dark to get my results.

If that doesn't work I tweak the other sliders. Sometimes also the detail texture modulation can help get rid of those deep valleys that give the dead their gaunt look.

What's good is since I'm not doing actual facegen creation and I have two monitors is I can have OOTP up on one monitor, save my tweaks to an empty folder and quickly reimport the facegen to see the results.

Gambo would you like me to post my complete redo on the 99 white Sox? None of them looked like the actual player and I redid 20 of the 25 OD starters. Cant say all look better, but they do look different and most look closer to the real player.
I also did almost all 1999 OD MGR's and a few GM's although most GM's I used a photo for.
I will also have my redo for Philliesfever done today, but not happy with it overall.
