Files Corrupted
Okay either I'm doing something wrong, or not doing something right. I can see from what I read in this forum that others aren't having the issues running this game that I am, so I'm hoping that someone will be able to steer me in the right direction.
Over the years that I've had this game, I've made three attempts to get a boxing universe off the ground. I actually had one up and running a few years ago - but it ended when a file became corrupted. That was when I tried TBCB2013, and wasted about two years trying to clean up the literally thousands of errors in that version's database. Finally reinstalled TBCB2.5 - and had corrupted files stop me in my tracks twice, before I could even get a boxing uni up and running. And once the game announces to me that it won't load because it can't read one of the .dat files, I'm dead in the water. Replacing it with a clean version of the same file won't work, because it won't read that one either, once I move it into the directory. But the thing is that there are dozens of you who run the game and never seem to experience the issues that have stopped me from getting anywhere in this game. So I ask you - what are you doing that I'm not? Or what I'm I doing that you're not? Are there some precautions that I'm supposed to take to make this game run smoothly? And sorry if I come across a little irritable, but it happened to me again last weekend, and I'm finding it pretty frustrating.

If you reinstalled an old copy of TB 2.5 on your PC, maybe you need to purchase a new copy or download a fresh copy using your current license. Some people have had issues but usually solve them by undoing something on their PC totally unrelated to the game. Sometimes it seems to be a hardware issue. I recall one guy saying he had turned an audio/video card off for another game and forgot to turn it back on. I'm no tech wizard so I can't help you there and the few tech guys that used to be around seem to be gone.
