Learn a new pitch

Is there a way to make a pitcher learn a new pitch? I have Hong Chi Kuo transitioning into a starter, and want to add another pitch, as he only has 2. Is there a way to have him learn a change up or curveball?

You can't make him learn one; all you can do is play him and hope he learns one. And that it's highly rated.
