It seems to depend a great deal on why they are angry.
If they are satisfied with their role, team performance, etc., but are angry because they aren't performing up to their standard, then you will probably see them improve and recover from their (overall) bad mood.
If you've relegated them to the bench and they expect to be a starter, well, that's a bigger problem. A trade or even a release might be the only solution for that.
Morale does affect performance in many cases, but I've seen angry players perform very well--so it's not necessarily the case that a dissatisfied player will be a big drag on your lineup.
Right now, I have several players who are upset or angry because the team is in last place. A couple of these are angry because they are not performing well. But, interestingly, one of the angriest, a pitcher, has had consecutive quality starts. He's still angry, but I see enough improvement in his performances to keep him in the rotation and on the squad.
