I dont know what year i'll start in, but screw the NHL, fictional league fictional players all the way.
probably start with 16 or 20 team league and expand over time to 28 in 4 divisions. teams and logos already picked out, i just need the game now... |

All the problems in the NHL should be blamed on Gary Bettman. Here is a man who needs to just step down. I would probably start out with playing the real NHL with all the real teams and expand it to about 40 teams total but as far as how many teams in each division I would probably do a realignment of all the divisions.

If it's playable then I might play a modern EIHL as the Nottingham Panthers, if not then a fictional British League.

I'll probably start with today KHL (playing for HC LEV Praha) and try to continue and expand it (e.g. Medvescak Zagreb) if possible.
My other idea is to start Czech ELH few years back when Vsetin played it or start today with Vsetin in 2nd league and try to get it back on top. |

I will start as the Bruins in the late 60's and hope to god Bobby Orr can play a full career, and have him paired with Ray Bourque for a few seasons in the early 80's.

Probably start with the NHA, and let history take it's course. Either that or do a fictional league similar to the CFL

I'm not sure I am going to buy this as I am not the biggest fan of hockey, but I love OOTP...
...but if I DO, it will be the 1970 Vancouver Canucks. |

I know for me, I will start as the Edmonton oilers in 83-84 when they really started turning it on. After I get bored of the "real" NHL stuff, it will be onto a Canadian hockey league, fully fictional and create a history and pick a team when I expand closer to 2012.

Probably start in 67-68 as my St Louis Blues.... whom I've kept up with since
the beginning.... Hope the league doesn't charge me with tampering somehow like they did the Blues with the Scott Stevens case.. Looking forward to being as good or better of an owner than they have had. Oh..and there will be representation in 83 at the NHL draft.. and no threats of moving to Saskatoon.... This game should be LOTs of fun |

Either the Kamloops Blazers(WHL) 1981 or the Vancouver Canucks(1970) or maybe the present. Hmmm... Might even change my mind by the time the game is released.

I think the NHL Network has shown in the past acouple of 1970-71 Canuck games. I remember watching their first game ever against LA Kings on HNIC on a Friday night.

i can see myself doing it all eventually.
One thing i'm interested in seeing is modern day players in the world of a 6-8 team NHL. Haven't decided if i'll allow european players in or not...

It'll be the NY Rangers, but not sure when I'll start. Tempted to go as early as game lets me, but more likely to start with first expansion.

Start with the '67-68 expansion season as the Flyers and do historic expansion up to around 20-24 teams and hold the size there. If the game allows I will keep the rules(engine) of the 70's and/or 80's and not mess with todays sockey.

I start either Historic career mode with -93 Leafs, current Leafs or SM-Liiga save with SaiPa. Also i could start NLA save. Can't wait that game.

I know that OOTP13 has the option of having players mixed in from different seasons so I hope that FHM has the same thing except with more control by the commish mode where it would be possible to select the season in which mixed players may be added in. This would be good for a big expansion draft in which the league is small scale team wise.
