Question regarding historical rosters

Let's say for example, a player played for 3 different clubs over the course of 1 season. When starting a game up with that specific season, I assume he will be listed on the roster of the club he BEGAN the regular season with?

Just wondering how this is going to work.

Yes, he will be with the team he started the season with.
