Trouble with stalling?

Does anyone else have the issue that the game will slow down to the point of not responding for a few minutes? This happens particularly on New Years Day and sometimes does it during the season as well.

Yes, occasionally on the transition to Jan 1st, it stalls for a while. What I do is click on ootp and make it look like ootp is not responding. After a minute, it usually responds.

I don't know how long this stalling last for you, but the game has always paused on December 31st. I think something important to the game is updated on that date.

Auto-Save and re-scout coincide on Dec. 31....
