GM review- managing the affiliates
HI. Just joined the OOTP world a week ago, finally. I have reviewed most of the post in this forum. One question i have that i wasn't able to find:
I have set myself as GM of the major team, and manage heavily the performance of all my affiliates, both with prospects, but also scouring the FA for veteran help in order to help their own results, and keep the affiliates happy- 2nd second i managed to have all seven affiliates finish over .500, increase attendance, and 2 championships. My question, is does this help my GM rating, or is it only based on my major league results? Or are the affiliates just there to grow my prospects, and maybe stash a chance on some veteran FA? |

from the manual:
"Manager scores have no real impact on the game. They're just a way of assigning a number to your performance. The score takes into account a number of things, such as your regular season winning percentage, playoff rounds won, how well you met the owner's expectations and so forth. So, for example, you may get a significantly higher score by winning a championship when your owner only expected the club to play .500 ball, than you would have if your team was the odds-on favorite all season long." |

Thanks. So since my owner never gives me any Affiliates objectives, their results have no impact on my review, and i could still get fired even if they all succeed, but my ML team fails? |
