GM Jack Zduriencik made a trade today, trading Starting Pitcher Dustin Moseley to the New York Yankees for Right Fielder Ryan Doumit.

"This is a good trade for both of us. We have an excellent rotation; they get a premier SP and we get the outfield help we need."

Doumit averaged .270 last year while Dustin Moseley pitched a 3.45 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP, which makes the trade look a bit even; both players are 33 and 32 years old, respectively.

Seattle Mariners Trade Chris Taylor to Cubs for Valbuena

Friday, April 4, 2014 - Today the Mariners added some offensive output. They Traded 2B Chris Taylor from AA Jackson to the Chicago Cubs for their 2B Luis Valbuena.

Last year in his first Major League season, Valbuena batted .240 AVG and .315 OBP. In comparison, Chris Taylor batted .271 AVG and .348 OBP. Take what you want, but it appears that the Mariners come away early winners, however the Cubs get a very good, very high potential prospect.

"This trade helps both teams in that these positions are positions are of high need for everybody. We need offensive output and we got it." Jack Z said. "We thank the Chicago Cubs organization for good effort in finalizing this deal."
