Fictional Pitcher Ratings

I'm not new to the game but this is a question that has been bugging me since the first fictional league I can remember. Why, when you create a fictional league, are the movement ratings not just low, but pathetic? It seems that most pitchers have a single digit movement rating. Is there something I am missing?

I've never seen this. All I play is fictional, and created players have always had a nice balance in my leagues. I get pitchers with good movement and poor movement, and everywhere in between, same as for all other ratings, both pitcher and hitters.

Have you adjusted any of the PCM's?

I think I should have elaborated a bit. I noticed a lot of movement rating being in the 30's so I went into commissioner mode and look at the ratings there and there would be a LOT of "1's." Now that I think about it, before I got in there and let it bother me, it played just fine so I'll just not worry about it. LOL! Now, about these "PCM's"...enlighten me as to what they are and maybe I will learn something from my stupidity.

when the player came into the league did you scout him?
I'll let him describe PCM. You can also have your league create players based on the year you in. This can be found under League Setup Rules or Options.
If you are playing in 1940 pitchers wont throw 95 most likely top out around 85-88 whereas if you are playing in 2013 new players coming into the league will throw 99-101+ tops. PCM's are located under strategy. i believe.

PCM = Player Creation Modifier, that was so easy to say I almost feel guilty for stealing the thunder

In my fictional leagues movement is usually middle of the road at PC. Stuff is high and control is low. Other leagues may differ. There is certainly no problem that I can see.
