Player Pictures not working

I have real player photos in the photos directory but not all my players get the real photo. Most are getting a Face Gen pic. What setting do I have wrong?

Ensure that 'Load player pictures automatically' is checked in Player & Picture Options.

That is checked. Its weird. Some are real pics and some do not load the real pic. I can manually update the pic to make it real but it should happen automatically. At least it has in the previous versions I own.

Is the box for allowing facegens unchecked?

Try unchecking the allow away uniforms. I doubt this is it, but it can't hurt to try. and what if you change the option for player pictures to no fictional pictures?

Ugh! Sorry. One other thing, you have shut the game down and restarted after trying any of the above changes, right?

Updating all pics didn't work either. I guess my database must be messed up.

First you need to open up the preferences screen. Click the facegen tab and set the last option (Picture Search Mode) to search for photo first.
Next you need to go to your saved game's news\html\person_pictures folder and delete those. Close and restart ootp and all your real photos will be recreated as long as they're named correctly. You shouldn't have any more facegens showing up.
BTW: Away uniforms do not affect real pics..only facegen.
