Patch Question

When a patch is released, where do I go in the game to see if the game is updated or check for new updates.

Bottom of the main screen will have the version number.

Does it automatically update itself or do I have to go somewhere to update? The Patch number doesn't really help me on its own because I need a point of reference to if its new or old.

If they will affect existing leagues, Markus usually mentions it. Most of the time, you have nothing to worry about.
