Quickstart Fictional Leagues

I want to do a fictional league, what is the most detailed quick start out there?

How do most of you handle your fictional leagues? Make every draft pick, let CPU draft or let CPU draft, sim some seasons and then take over? If you sim seasons what is the amount most sim before playing?

Thanks!

Brandon, you would get all different answers to a questions like these. Your best bet is to experiment with different styles of play and gradually you will gravitate to one that pleases you most.

Me, I am stuck in a rut with the "Start Historical League in 1901, flush out and delete all historical players, create all new fictional players, schedule inaugural draft, take over NYC team, run everything from top down to allowing my manager to handle baserunning and defense in played-out games."

That's how I play fictional. To answer your first question, though, the game comes with a pretty good fictional quickstart, US Baseball League, with no setup necessary. But how you play it is up to you. Dive in!

I use feeder leagues, so I always sim at least five years before actually playing a team so everybody has a full set of stats. But that's just me. It's your game, figure out what way is the most fun for you and do it that way.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
