Every once in a while there is an asterisk

Every once in a while a name will be on the leader boards with an asterisk next to it. Usually on the hitting streaks. Anyone know why?

I've looked at game logs to see if I could notice anything but I couldn't tell anything from the stats. No injuries, suspensions, etc during the time and all the games did have hits.

Edit* - I think I figured it out. the asterisk is for current streaks.

The asterisk indicates the hitting streak is currently happening. If you'll notice, once the streak ends, the asterisk goes away.
