Non-Guaranteed Contracts
Anyway to set up a league that has NFL financials? Like you can offer Guaranteed money, but you can also release players and not be on the hook at all.

You can use the Reserve Clause Era rules, but unless something's changed in 16, that's as close as you can get for now.

Contracts in the MLB a are practically always gursnteed money anyway football is the only sport that does its contracts only partially gueanteed (I think?)

All of the players have the non-guaranteed contract option but the game doesn't model it right. So if you release a dude with an non-guaranteed deal the game will still alert you that releasing the player is going to cost your cap.
So there is a way to do it but you need to be in Commish mode and it requires a lot of tinkering because the game doesn't do it right, even though if you edit a player in Commish mode, you can see the non-guaranteed check box right there. So someone was thinking about it, but must've forgotten. I've attempted this experiment in both online leagues and solo play. |

NBA also has this, but it isn't the norm. And right, MLB contracts are almost guaranteed excluding options. |
