Saving League Set-Up for Future Use

This is probably going to seem like a ridiculous question ... but ...

I just spent the better part of an hour setting up a league, etc. If I want to save this entire set-up as a type of template to use in the future ... what do I do? Is my only option to save it as a backup and then restore it at some later time? I don't have any issue with that ... but, shockingly to myself ... I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to restore a backup : /

Any help would be much appreciated

Export league structure - this preserves the league setup and team names, I do believe.

Funny .... I've had the game for several years now, and I've never once looked at the Quickstart menu. Well. Something new learned.

I've been asking something similar for a while too. I'm spending a lot of time setting up my current world with all the leagues, and I could be spending more, but if a new patch comes out with a roster update, all my work goes for naught since I need to start a completely new game—even if I save all my setup to a quick-start.

If I export the league structure, will that carry over into a new game under a new patch? I'm most concerned about keeping the playoff structures, awards, and updated stadiums that I've already made.

How does one import league structure into a new game? I see the export league structure option, but where is the import prompt?

I think I misspoke. It wasn't export league structure I was thinking about, it was exporting as a template, which is under the league global settings tab.

Does the template lock you into having to use a specific team or can you use the template along with a new chosen team in a new game? I think that is what Matt was looking for?

I haven't tested it yet, but I don't believe it locks you into using any of the team names imported.
