Switch Pitcher

This is Pat Venditte!
A Switch Pitcher pitching for the Nashville Sounds.
OOTP clearly has him as a RHP, but he is also a LHP.
What do you guys think of this phenom?

If I remember correctly, he has to declare which arm he is pitching with and I believe he is more of a righty.

But, but the grace of God, if I could ask for one thing, I would have been born a lefty and be in the prime of my pitching career right now at 37 years old!

There was a reliever for the Expos back in the day...Greg Harris maybe?....he could pitch both hands....had a custom glove that he could switch hands with...I believe he pitched at least one game where he switched in the same inning...pretty cool stuff

Switch pitcher - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yep, it was Greg Harris. Bunch of info on the switch pitcher. As rare as a left handed catcher.

There were a couple of OOTP 15 threads about Pat Venditte and how the game ought to handle switch pitchers. You might want to look them up.

After seeing him do it I thought I would give it a whirl. That experiment didn't last long

The first time I ever tried throwing a knuckleball was in a game....right over the backstop....I wasn't any good but I always tried hard!

I was ambidextrous. To this day, as a hitter I had more power LH, better contact, as a LH pitcher I still throw junk, slow curve & knuckle ball, as a righty a fastball (only 70-72 mph but then I am 55!!!), Slider and a semi cutter (never could throw anywhere near the plate with a RH curve)
