Unable to create league association?

Trying to merge to 8 team Major Leagues together. Both are identical except different teams. Both have Triple, Double, Single A minors and 2 College and 2 High School feeder leagues.

I get this message when I try to create this new league:

What have I done wrong? Thanks guys.

Associating two league won't merge them. It just gives them the potential to use the same rules share a draft and have a playoff after each league champion is crowned.

When associating you can't associate feeders or minor leagues so only associate the MLB league not the rest of them.

Yeah, I'm not even positive you can do what you are trying to do, to be honest.

At least not the way you are trying. I think you would just create the new league and then make sure you transfer over the correct team ID'S so the engine can see they are a team with a prior history.

I agree. I think (based on his other post) he's trying to combine the two leagues.

Yeah, I'm trying to create one full league combining the two...

So basically I can't combine them without losing the history?

You're still going to have the old history with the old leagues BUT the new league will start its own history.

As Jaysdailydose said when moving the teams make sure the teams have to proper team ids. So the game knows the teams are the same. I think this will also keep team records intact but I'm not sure.

I'll just give it a go and see what happens. It's backed up anyway.

So just create a third Major League like these other two, move the teams and then Delete the first 2 leagues? Teams won't lose their histories, but the old two leagues will but what about stats/awards?

Player stats and awards will still be there. Not sure if they will show up in the award icons since they are no longer in the league they got the awards in but they will still have stats and awards in their history.
