Follow real MLB stats

Can I also use OOTP 16 to just observe/follow the real MLB stats?

I mean checking box scores, stats not through mlb website but through OOTP 16 on steam e.g.?

How can I "set up" that league on the starting screen then?

RL MLB no, OOTP MLB yes. OOTP does not update RL.

What does "RL" mean compared to "OOTP"?

When you sim forward a day in OOTP the game produces the results, it does not mirror what MLB (Real Life) does.
