Importing OOTP 15 game

I had a question for you all, I always buy OOTP but so far I hadn't bought OOTP 16 because I been so obsessed with my OOTP 15 team which have been doing so well and I want to see how my players end up doing as far as if they will make HOF etc. I know there is a way to import my league to OOTP 16 but how would I be able to do it? I am not very tech savvy will it be hard for me? Also are there any issues changing from one game to the other like will the setup mess up or anything?

It's ridiculously easy. I suggest moving on the first day of the offseason. Make a backup of your league just in case.
As soon as you load 16, click on Import OOTP15 Game. Select the world.DAT file. Follow the prompts, and just wait. It takes a while, but it's really easy.

Just adding my support for Isaac said. Do it on the first day of the offseason. Back up your files first. Then as Isaac said, the process can take a while depending on how much history you have and how large your league is, so expect to let it run for a while.

Once you have imported, make a backup of THAT too.

One thing I like to do when changing versions is to go through all of the settings again to make decisions about what new features I want to enable/disable. Then I back up after that. THEN I sim into the future, maybe 2-3 years, and do a cursory review to make sure nothing obvious blows up.

I did that this time and caught a problem with the "playoff roster" feature that I had enabled. It would have been a huge pain if I had played the whole season and run into that problem. Instead, I just disabled playoff rosters and have been playing without any problems since. (I heard a rumor the playoff roster issue was fixed in the latest patch, but I don't really care much about the playoff rosters anyway, so it wasn't a problem for me.)

Good luck!
