Cole Hamels No-Hitter
The catch at the end was a little dangerous, but a good performance none-the-less.

Congratulations to Hamels. The last guy to no-hit the Cubs was a pitcher by the name of Sandy Koufax.

And the last no-hitter at Wrigley was by the Cubs' Milt Pappas (9-2-72).

Wish I would have seen it. In my EBL vs MLB league Hamels has never thrown a No Hitter. Oddly though the last time the Cubs were no hit in my game was by a Phillies pitcher. Vance Worley in 2012.

Well. I stumbled into baseball without all that rivalry baggage. I don't particularly mind the Phillies, or the Cubs. I wasn't even born when the Mets and Cubs stood on each other's toes the last time. I actually like the Cubs' announcers.
But ever since the 2014 World Series, I'm engulfed in flames of love for Mad Bum. ![]()
