Cy Who?

These two pitchers have won the last 5 cy youngs in my league. Looks like one of them is going to win it this year as well. Who do you hand it to?

And if it matters - on the 2nd last day of the season - they faced each other and Warren beat Nana 2-0.

(Neither player is on my club)

I'd go with Nana due to ERA+, WAR, strikeouts, WHIP (by an insignificant amount to be honest), and ERA. It is fairly close though, both pitcher were excellent.

Can't go wrong with either. Nana would get my nod, and I expect that's who the game will choose. The extra innings and better K rate are the big keys for me.

I agree with Matt, though I'd rather see the player from Kentucky get it...

Also, if the Kentucky boy had some sort of other accomplishments going for him like if he set some sort of record (i.e. longest scoreless streak) or if he plays in a hitter's paradise and the other fella plays in a pitcher's park, I could see him being the choice.

P.S. Not sure that I like our team being called the "Horseflies".....

Wow, I love looking at Nana's walks. He must have really worked on his control. Just a steady decline in BB/9.

I tried trading for Nana when he was 21. Honolulu wanted a king's ransom for him. I guess they knew they had something. I figured he was young - hadn't shown anything yet.....i suppose i should have paid the king's ransom....

3 Cy Youngs, 1 MVP later (and a 4th Cy Young on its way) - i've learned from the error.

Oh...and by the way, Honolulu just defeated the 112-50 Idaho Owlets to reach the NLCS....Nana pitched 2 shutouts.

I made the ALCS for the first time in 12 years.....i should win the ALCS....which will give me a chance to face Nana myself in the Series.
