Smile New World Baseball League

Hi everyone,

Here is a link to the New World Baseball League. (File is about 2 GB.) I created this league because I wanted a purely fictional world, but I didn't want it to be TOO different from regular American baseball. I also wanted minors, but I find the MLB setup to be a just little TOO much for me.

So here's what the NWBL has to offer:
  • 24-team major league
  • 5 levels of minors, with 24 teams at each level (although some levels are split into multiple leagues instead of one 24-team league)
  • Enough feeder leagues to provide all new players
  • Modern baseball settings, with the exception that draft pick trading is allowed.
  • Every team at every level has custom jerseys, caps, and logos. These have been taken from various logo and jersey-makers from the forums, and I am tremendously thankful for all of their hard work. Unfortunately I don't have a list of all of them, but I know that many of my favorites were by txranger.
  • League has 11 years of history already. (All simulated with no human management.)
  • No international or independent leagues, although periodic international FAs do appear.
  • Game is set up with scouting on, and most importantly RATINGS ARE OFF.

Some interesting things to happen so far:
  • The San Francisco Stallions reached the Championship four out of five years from 2020-2024, winning twice.
  • The league started out heavy in pitching talent, with league ERAs around 3.30 and league BA around .242. In the ten years since, things have gone more towards hitting, with the most recent league ERAs around 4.00-4.50 and BAs around .270
  • In 2019, LF John Robertson of the Buffalo Blizzard hit a crazy .417 for the season. In 2020 he had a 45-game hitting streak, and in 88 games in an injury-plagued season, he hit .466!
  • San Francisco Stallions RF Bob Poole, after six full seasons in the big leagues, has a career OBP of .450. He topped out at .481 in 2023 when he hit .363 and drew 136 walks, with 83 stolen bases.
  • Between September of 2020 and September of 2021, pitchers threw three no-hitters, all perfect games. They are the only perfect games in league history to date.
  • The Boston Pilgrims have made the playoffs in 8 of the 11 league seasons, but have never won a championship.
  • The Milwaukee Grays are the bottom of the barrel. They are the only team never to have made the postseason, and boast a career winning percentage of just .428. That's just above the Dallas Diamonds' .424 career percentage, but somehow Dallas snuck in a playoff appearance.

If you're bored, I'd love to hear what interesting things people can find in the 11-year history of the league!

If you modify the link to remove the 'stuff' directory, it seems to work. FWIW
I'll just post it.
