Is there an offspring feature?

I don't know if this is a feature, but I seem to have found the son of one of my favorite players. Does anyone know if this is a real thing or if this is just a coincidence? If it isn't a feature it should be. I'd also like to see brothers of my players and it would be nice to have them link to each other on their profiles.

Awesome! Now I want to trade for this guy. But, it would be nice to have a link on their profile back to their father.

I noticed this for a while. I don't think any of my name files have "Jr" in it. I didn't notice any real life player sons but I've ran across a couple of "Jr's" and when I searched for their names, a the original also popped up that was at least 20 years older.

So, it's established that periodically the game will select a former player, clone the name and add "Jr." after it, and time it so that the birth years of each make sense? When did this start? This game continues to amaze me. Yes, most definitely, there should be a mention of each other in their player histories.

We have Albert Pujols Jr., who has a real life counterpart. Sadly, our version is a mediocre pitcher with none of his father's work ethic.
